Gallery » 1929 Bentley 41/2 Litre 'Le Mans' Vanden Plas Style Tourer

Delivered to Sheffield on New Year's Eve 1929, this 4.5 litre WO Bentley, chassis PB3538, originally had a Gurney Nutting Saloon body, and was probably the last of 234 4.5 litres delivered in that year, and one of only 670 produced in total.  Today, still with matching mechanicals and a VdP Le Mans body, it is in fine fettle with its owner being only the 7th since 1929.

We handle the routine maintenance of the car, and have performed some small upgrades including a suitably fruity exhaust system, replacing the indicator locations and returning the plating to nickel where appropriate (rather than chrome).  We have also completely rebuilt the engine, dyno tested it, road tested it and run the engine in on behalf of the owner.
