Gallery » 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Le Mans

No arguments please, the indomitable 8C Alfa in all its various forms is the Holy Grail when it comes to pre-war motor cars, and some of the team here believe to be the ultimate car of all time. We prepared this 8C  for the Mille Miglia.

This particular car (Chassis No. 2311210) was imported into Great Britain from Italy in 1937 by Thomson & Taylor - the British Alfa Romeo agents at Brooklands. The car was imported to original Le Mans specification with Lungo chassis and body.  It is a matching numbers car with no major replacement components. It has no confirmed competition history but is to the exact specification as raced at Le Mans and the Tourist Trophy races in Northern Ireland. Its UK owners include The Regent Oil Company.

Ashley’s photos nearly do it justice, but if you ever get the chance to hear one of these run in anger you will fall even more in love – they are quite simply sublime.
