When we were approached by our client, Philip Kadoorie, to prepare his 1974 Lancia Stratos Group 4 HF for the Tour Auto Optic 2000 in France, we jumped at the chance to take part in this epic event. Starting at the Grand Palais in Paris, this 2,050 km rally passes through the picturesque towns of Besancon, Megeve, Avignon and Aix-En-Provence before finishing at the seaside resort of Nice in the south of France.

This year’s Winter Raid Rallye saw Wilfried compete in his wonderful rally-prepared 1939 Citroen CV 15/6 Leger over 1000 kilometers of snow and ice-covered Alps. The route passed through Switzerland and Austria over 4 days, with Colin, our Race Mechanic, as co-driver and support mechanic.

The limited-edition Lancia Aurelia Outlaw we completed last year and which is now residing in California, made a huge impact at this year's Monterey Car Week. It generated alot of interest at the Quail Lodge Concours and Events where it received fantastic feedback. At the Monterey Jet Centre party, it occupied a prime position and went down an absolute storm. In addition, it was nominated as one of the top 70 cars at the Carmel Concours on the Avenue by Petrolicious.com!

Following a 3 year major nut and bolt restoration, this stunning Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing made its debut at the 2016 Salon Prive' Concours d'Elegance at Blenheim Palace. It was a real showstopper, standing alongside some equally dazzling cars in the beautiful setting of the Palace grounds. Wayne and Simon drove the car, it's first major outing since completion, on the Tour d'Elegance round the Cotswolds countryside, in a convoy of around 30 cars before arriving at Blenheim without missing a beat. Thornley Kelham supported two cars in this year’s iconic Mille Miglia event in Italy, a 1000 mile scenic race which starts in Brescia and passes through Parma, Rome and Rimini before finishing back at the start in Brescia. Two teams from Thornley Kelham transported a 1950 Ferrari 195S and a 1954 Lancia Aurelia B20GT, and supported them throughout the event to ensure both cars ran smoothly and finished successfully.

This incredibly historic car, a 1925 Sunbeam 'Tiger' is famous for breaking the Land Speed Record in 1926, previously held by Malcolm Campbell in 1925 in his world-renowned 'Bluebird.' This record of 150.76 mph was broken the following year by this extraordinary 4ltr V12 Sunbeam 'Tiger'.
