About Us » Who » Paul

After leaving school at 16, I started work for Hilton Hotels; working in Oxford, Coventry and Edinburgh, gaining experience in all aspects of the hospitality industry. I then decided to move into public house management gaining my first management position at 21 years old. This was a lifestyle I enjoyed very much and continued for 12 years, building my management experience whilst gaining knowledge of health and safety, finances and stock control.

It was then I decided on a complete change of direction and moved into Warehouse and Logistics Management. I have a passion for learning new skills and this was the perfect environment for that - over the next 11 years I gained licenses for 5 different forklift trucks and a HIAB (lorry mounted crane). I also took my chartered institute of logistics and transport level 3.

Although I have little mechanical knowledge I am definitely what you would class as a petrol head! I appreciate a beautiful car and have a real passion for motorcycles so when the opportunity to work as Stock Controller, a new position at Thornley Kelham presented itself, it was a challenge I grabbed with both hands.

In my spare time my motorbike is my main passion but I am also a member of Archery GB.  I am the proud owner of a bearded dragon called Daenerys, Dad to 2 daughters and Step-Dad to a son.
