Lancia Stratos Group IV Rally
Having campaigned this original rally – spec Stratos on a handful of events post-purchase, the owner decided to return the car to an earlier period livery. In doing so he asked us to strip the car completely and restore as necessary. This ultimately involved significant repairs and strengthening to the original chassis and tub, and returning the car to its original shape having sourced correct front and rear clams and wheel arch extensions from Italy. All mechanical components including the engine were rebuilt, as were the suspension, brakes and fuel and cooling systems. The car was fully rewired using a motor sport wiring loom, new correct wheels were painted based on period photos and a whole set of replica decals were carefully fitted.
The car has since been driven in anger on a number of international rallies.
