After the car left us it was over to Ian's team at BGM Motorsport to ready everything for a test day at Silverstone. Everything went well - the verdict of Paul and Danny who spent the day was 'awesome'. The car only spun once....
Ashley took one final shot of the car in full livery.
Taken as we were working on the car to meet a delivery deadline (two nights when we knocked off after midnight...) Ashley Border has again produced his magic lens to show some of the detail of our works.
The Ferrari Daytona race car has now left - sent back to the gurus at BGM to prepare for testing at Silverstone on 30 March. eventually the car was treated to a complete rewire, including a redesign of the switches on the dash and auxiliary lights on the doors. The interior retrim included new alcantara on the dash, quilted leather to the rear and on the transmission tunnel, new fully fitted rubber matting, and new door pockets fabricated in aluminium and then leather covered. There were several very late nights this week!
Other works included new perspex all round, re-silvered headlamps, new bonnet catches and straps... the list goes on. Overall we are pretty happy with the car and look forward to seeing it with all its new decals - and above all on the track.
There was just time for a quick pic. of the team 'relaxing' with the car!

The awesome beast to the left of 'our' car has just arrived for Ferrari 'Classiche' attestation, and potentially a few paintwork alterations. More to follow......
