LANCIA AURELIA B24 CONVERTIBILE

One of only 521 convertibiles (note spelling) produced between 1956 and 1958, all of which were LHD, this late 6th Series car has been the subject of a nut-and-bolt concours level restoration in our workshops.

During the works, the owner asked if we could equip the car with a correct original hardtop – a rare thing. We managed to find a rough example which was completely restored, retrimmed and painted in the same mid-grey as the car.

The Lancia Aurelia B24S convertibile succeeded the even rarer, arguably prettier but less practical B24 Spider. Powered by the famed Lancia 2,451 cc V6 engine, virtually every panel was different to the Spider, and the car has exterior door handles, wind up windows, a more upright windscreen with quarter lights and fullwidth bumpers.

We love these cars and have been delighted to carry out this meticulous restoration for its discerning owner. After 500 miles of testing and fettling the car will be ready for him to enjoy on the springtime roads of Europe – just as Lancia originally intended.
