LANCIA FLAMINIA SPORT ZAGATO 3C

CHASSIS no.

826.132.1052

This Lancia Flaminia Sport is one of the very rare cars factory fitted with the larger 2.8 litre engine – one of only 33 such variants. To distinguish this car even further, it has the earlier style perspex covered, faired in headlights which are factory original as  confirmed by Zagato. Could this be the single most desirable Lancia Flaminia Sport? Very early history of the car is still being researched but it is thought the car was sold to its first owner in Europe but was subsequently shipped to the USA.

In 1971 the car was purchased by Grant White, a Bugatti and pre-war car aficionado. Grant was responsible for painting the car dark Blue.

In 1982 the car was sold to Grant’s friend Paul Thomasson who clocked up approximately 3000 miles on the car before taking it off the road in 1990 with intent to restore it…

The current owner purchased the car from Paul Thomasson in 2013 and brought it back to the UK. Although partly disassembled it was absolutely complete and retaining its original engine and drivetrain.

This rare and unique Flaminia Sport 3C 2.8 has recently completed a comprehensive and very sympathetic restoration at Thornley Kelham and was shown at the London Concours 2018.
